Invitation - Social Innovation Roundtable
« on: April 11, 2013, 07:43:18 PM »
This roundtable is designed for not-for profits and organizations to find ways to think in an innovative way for future sustainability. Social Innovation is creating methods and ideas to engage people in the development of solutions to address our societal problems in clever and new ways that benefit people and our planet.

Our society faces extraordinary challenges such as gender and cultural inequality, hunger and poverty, homelessness, unstable economies, climate change, crime and many other issues. At the same time technologies are transforming the world in a large and significant way, transforming communication, social interaction, media and markets. These changes necessarily require change in how we see social and environmental change. These challenges are daunting but also provide an opportunity to see old problems in new ways. As such, these conditions offer an opportunity for social innovation to emerge. Cross-sectoral collaborations, community entrepreneurship and civil society will lead changes that seek to use the untapped resources and human energy in our communities.

Hear from other organizations about their success stories, and dialogue about your needs and observations at our Social Innovation Roundtable.
