Please Please attend the public workshop where we get to tell Metro Vancouver & the City of Surrey to stop destroying our park!

Sewage leak today down at the proposed new entrance to the park. Quite a few Metro Van people, trucks and flag people at the site.

Just reviewing the City of Surrey Master plan for dog off lease areas, and they have clearly identified Bolivar Park for mid term 2012 to 2015 development. So what do they have planned, and will they show this at the meeting of March 5h.  If the City doesn't have information on this proposal than the whole process is tainted by their failure to disclose the information - will be watching this closely

I was at the public meeting as were many others. I can say that I was impressed by the way Metro Vancouver and the City of Surrey conducted this meeting. It was very informative and I feel that they were willing to hear the opinions of the neighbourhood. I feel they did listen and I am now confident that whatever route is chosen,  work will be done to address the concerns of the neighbours and minimize the impact.
I actually think this project may bring about some other improvements to the park.
