The summary captures the discussion on the topics from the workshop, the table discussion on the alignment and access options considered for Bolivar Park, the additional alignments for consideration, the construction overview and impacts, and the public engagement process and includes the input from 12 feedback forms which were received by March 22, 2013.
Metro Vancouver is working with the City of Surrey and the Bolivar Heights Community Association to finalize alignment plans for this project. Preliminary investigation work is taking place in and around Bolivar Park, and Metro Vancouver will be working with the community to minimize potential impacts to the park and to residents in the area.
Metro Vancouver is currently investigating the route titled “South Side Bolivar Park – Maintaining Existing Access” so that we can provide more details on the impacts at the next workshop. At the park planning workshop on June 11, 2013 the project team will address the potential impacts of the preferred route, how these impacts might be mitigated, and how the park could be restored to best meet the needs of the community.
