Just $10. Become A Member of the Market!

When you become a member of the market a few wonderful things happen.

For us: We get financial support to operate the market. You help pay for the advertising, posters, staff, insurance and market tents.

For you: You get a membership card, which entitles you to members-only discounts from vendors each month during member appreciation days.

Here's A Special Incentive.  While supplies last, if you buy a membership, you can also buy a Green Zebra coupon book for just $10 plus tax. The guide normally sells for $20 and is chock full of great discounts and coupons from businesses in Surrey and in the Lower Mainland. We don't have many books left, so snap one up for $10 if you become a member!

Our Good Friends.

We ask for support from the community. And the community delivers.

We would like to acknowledge the following individuals and organizations that are providing the Surrey Urban Farmers Market with support for the 2011 season.

*   Coast Capital (for our Food Nutrition Coupon Program)
*   Metro Vancouver Agricultural Awareness Grant (for an upcoming Festival of Farms)
*   Surrey Foundation (for our Food Nutrition Coupon Program)
*   The City of Surrey
*   Jagrup Brar, MLA for Surrey Fleetwood
*   Stephanie Cadieux, MLA for Surrey-Panorama Ridge and Minister of Labour

Stay tuned, we are still expecting a few more supporters to come on board in the coming weeks.

Volunteers?

We need 'em. We love 'em
Are you interested in helping make the market run smoothly? Might you be a good fit for some of the following tasks?

*   Help set up for the market and guide in the vendors
*   Answer questions and provide excellent customer service at our information tent.
*   Put up posters in your neighborhood or strata
*   Look after a kids craft table

We would welcome your help. Students, this is an excellent choice for your hours. Newcomers, an excellent way to learn about your new community.

If you are interested, contact Vanessa at volunteer@surreymarket.org and she will give you the details.

Where is the market?

We are located at 10275 City Parkway, on the plaza of the North Surrey Recreation Centre Plaza, under the Surrey Central Skytrain Station.

For this week, it is a going to be busier around the market: We are right next to the Stanley Cup Celebration Site at Central City plaza.  102nd Avenue from City Centre Parkway to University Boulevard will be closed down. You are still able to park free in the North Surrey Rec Centre, but the lots will be busy later in the afternoon what with about 5,000-7,000 people expected.
