Hello BHCA members,
Wayne and I took this course two years ago, and found it to be very informative and useful, as you become aware of how the CoS, Translink, Metro Van, and other jurisdictions negotiate the challenges of providing funding and capital infrastructure for transportation and transit projects in the Lower Mainland. Meetings are held at City Centre Library. Well worth the time, and would beneficial to keep BHCA prominent at City Hall.

This email is an invitation to participate in the SFU and City of Surrey Transportation Lecture Program. Now in its fifth year, the lecture program is an interactive, 10-session course about transportation in the City of Surrey and Metro Vancouver. Some of our other guest speakers include senior staff from the City of Surrey, TransLink and Simon Fraser University.
No expertise required, just an interest in transportation and/or community planning! You’ll learn about how transportation planning decisions are made, but it’s also a great opportunity to meet others and ask questions, and chat about transportation issues in your community.
Schedule Nine Wednesdays, Sep 10–Nov 12, 2014 (6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.), and one Saturday bus tour on Oct 18 (9 a.m.–1 p.m.).
Venue Community Room 2E-A, Surrey City Hall, 13450 104 Ave, Surrey, B.C.
Fee Surrey residents pay $20 including GST, plus a $100 cheque deposit (payable to the City of Surrey). Cheque will be destroyed if at least 80 per cent of sessions are attended.
